Beautiful fireworks over the Moyne River at Port Fairy
That time of year again! A 38 degree afternoon encouraged us to hydrate on water before dehydrating on alcohol. Beer o'clock started down at the beach, with the sun beaming at us through wispy clouds and against a brisk gale, that sent seaspray flying into our faces at every wave.
The Port Fairy parade commenced at 8pm and included a multicutural theme. This included "time" as well as "country", as a group of cavemen joined the fray and entertained the crowd with their UGG conversation. The Queen also paid a visit and so too did a ute containing a man having a shower and another man sitting on the toilet (not too sure what they were commemorating there...?). The parade was enhanced by small sips of Hennessy cognac in little pop-up shot glasses, courtesy of Don, Lee and Maria (thanks for the awesome gifts!).

"Ugg." "Ugg." "Oh! ....ug."
Live music on the move
We popped into the pub for a quick game of pool against a couple of Hamiltonites and then dashed over to Bob's for a party (a neighbour and regular camper at PF). Plenty of lively chitchat and trays of bickies, cheese, pate and dip enhanced the evening, topped off by the spectacular fireworks display at midnight.

May everyone have a very happy new year; we wish you health, happiness and luck for 2011
Happy Happy Happy New Year. Sounds like one of those dreams you don't want to wake up from. Don't get too bruised from pinching yourselves. Enjoy!!!! love Mum
