Termite mounds are surrounded by ashen earth in this quiet little corner of the Northern Territory. A short walk will lead you to Sullivan Creek; a wide river with pockets of shallow water holes, home to barramundi and, presumably, crocs!

The riverbank is cluttered with scrub and palm trees so it is difficult to cast your line in. Jase ended up cutting an old soft-plastic lure into the shape of a maggot, and dangled it into the water, in and around the various snags. After a little coaxing he managed to hook a small Barra, which was a little (?) under size and had to be thrown back, but it was fun nonetheless.
did he kiss it before throwing it back????
