Christmas at home

Aaah, nothing quite like it.

Rosie, thank you for your hospitality, endless cups of coffee, chockies, mince pies and thanks for letting us use your washing machine!!! (we don't have access to one much these days and hand washing is tedious at the best of times!).  Thank you also for presenting us with a beautiful beautiful bedroom - what comfort after life in a caravan!!; and thank you also for the Xmas gifts - the Lebanese cookbook has had quite a read-through already, and we can't wait to start using the hand painted plate and handwoven Turkish rug!  Mmmmm!!

Mum, thank you for 2 lovely pepperpot days complete with Katherine Hepburn and picnics of tasty morsels, cheeses, eggs, salads and chockies.  Same time next year perhaps?

Nanice and Danny, thank you for opening your home to us once again on Christmas Day, thank you for copious plates of delicious food and tall glasses of whiskey!  Barbeque meat is never quite as good as that which is cooked by Danny and George who guard the grill all day so we can all enjoy lemon-infused, oregano-sprinkled giros and chicken and pork.  A meat lovers delight!

Maria and Lee, thanks again for inviting us to a poker night and putting up with our silly whisky-riddled antics, and we look forward to the next game!

And finally, thank you James, for devoting so many lovely days in December to spend with us, at your home to cook a Weeeber feast, at Nearly Creek to say hello to Jazz and to check out our new home (ie the van), and a few days at Rosie's to keep us all company and introduce us to the latest in electronic music and cult TV comedies and to play Scattergories with us.  We love you and miss you, and we are very proud of you xx

Merry Christmas!!!!
